How can I best care for my jewelry?

All jewelry is made with genuine stones and metals. This means they need to be cared for and may tarnish. Avoid direct contact with water or perfumes, keep clean and dry and polish with a polishing cloth when it tarnishes to keep it shining like new!

Will the jewelry turn my skin green?

All metals we use are genuine metals. We mostly use sterling silver, though we do offer brass and gold. If a piece is tarnished it may cause discoloration of the skin, to avoid this polish the jewelry gently with a polishing cloth. If you are allergic to any type of metal this may cause itching or turn your skin green, though this depends on your allergy. We use jewelers brass which is a high quality brass that does not contain nickel, which is the most common allergy though it does tarnish quickly and darkens over time.

What do I need to know about brass jewelry?

Brass jewelry is a great, cost effective alternative to gold, though it is a higher maintenance metal. It can tarnish quickly, especially in hot, humid climates. You will definitely want to avoid getting it wet, do not wear while swimming or working out. Though brass pieces tarnish quickly they can be polished easily with a polishing cloth and look bright and shiny and new!
